Full-time programmer position 

The Computational Biology Unit at the University of Bergen has a vacancy for a full-time programmer, on a permanent position. The programmer will primarily work  with the research groups of Susanna Röblitz andNathalie Reuter. The tasks will consist in developing, maintaining, and upgrading software solutions that implement novel methods in computational biology. The person hired will have the opportunity to work with -and learn from- a variety of computational fields, including stochastic chemical kinetics as well as protein bioinformatics and modeling.

Applicants must hold a master’s degree that includes extensive training in programming. They should have excellent programming skills in more than one programming language, including Python and also preferably C/C++. They should be familiar with the use of modern version control systems (eg. Github).
